RESIDENTIAL SUPPORTIVE LIVING PROGRAM
Many people who discover the Harmony Grove website write or call us to ask how our program differs from eating disorder treatment centers. The Harmony Grove program combines two different facilities: a supportive living residence and an intensive outpatient therapy program. The outpatient program is a clinic; the recovery residence is not (see our Programs page for more information).
Unlike residential eating disorder programs, Harmony Grove is set up a bit differently to save costs. Our experienced and empathetic team assists clients with meal planning meetings, weekly shopping, food preparation, and eating and exercise programs. Many of our staff members have themselves recovered from anorexia, bulimia, or a binge eating disorder. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which women can learn new eating and self-care behaviors. Harmony Grove is an affordable and effective provider of binge eating, anorexia and bulimia support to:
- Women who do not require inpatient medical attention
- Women who are leaving inpatient facilities and seeking treatment in a continuing care program
- Women seeking outpatient clinical treatment for disordered eating
- Women with less serious eating disorders who would benefit from supportive living
If you are seeking eating disorder treatment in San Diego, Los Angeles, Arizona, or northern California, Harmony Grove’s house in San Diego offers a peaceful and comfortable setting for beginning your recovery.
