The Harmony Grove Supportive Living Residence is an 8 bed recovery-based place to stay while learning new eating and self-care behaviors. With gentle supervision in a comforting and safe environment, individuals can gradually transition into the world while becoming grounded in their new eating and exercise programs. Harmony Grove can also be a wonderful continuing care program for individuals coming out of an anorexia and/or bulimia treatment center. Clients will learn to handle all the temptations, social stresses, and food preparation challenges that come up in a normal day, and they will have support while they learn. Many of our staff members are recovered as well, so we do understand this challenge.

The Harmony Grove residence also provides overnight staff, a shared room, meals, support meetings, and recreational activities. Each week, we have meal planning meetings to determine the weekly shopping and preparation of a variety of dishes. The clients and staff will share duties and support each other with grocery shopping, cooking, and clean up. This helps prepare individuals for returning home with new tools for self-care. Getting support around food and eating is vital in beginning recovery.

Harmony Grove staff will support you in adhering to your plan of recovery. There will be certain general rules that will help to keep the house a safe and recovering environment. For example, to support binge eating treatment, there will be no eating between planned meals. Meals and snacks will have set time frames, and there will be various other guidelines around mealtime to create a healthy atmosphere. We have staff at each meal to support you in the positive changes you will make.

Harmony Grove clients stay at the residence while attending our Day Treatment Program at our nearby eating disorder clinic during the day. Eating disorder therapy clients will attend individual therapy, individual dietitian appointments, group therapy, expressive arts therapy, body image groups, and over 15 hours of education and support groups each week. Our therapists are state licensed and master level counselors specializing in eating disorders.

Who Do We Serve?
Who benefits from
Harmony Grove? Our eating disorder recovery program is designed for women ages 18 and older who want eating disorder help and have a strong personal desire to permanently change their unhealthy relationship with food, weight, and body image. Our clients are generally in one of two categories:
1. Someone who has a less serious eating disorder who may respond well to outpatient treatment combined with supportive living to learn new healthier behaviors.
2. Someone seeking binge eating, anorexia, or bulimia help who may have had a serious eating disorder but is leaving an inpatient treatment facility and would like to continue with a transition program.

If you would like to start your journey toward eating wellness and freedom from food, weight, and body image obsession or if you would just like more information, please call Harmony Grove today for a free consultation: 1-800-990-8052.
